Thrift Finds: A few reasons why I keep on thrifting

Hello friends of the vintage find,

No more thrifting hiatus for me! I simply can't stop going out to find the next big thing. Why? Let me show you all the reasons why:

Reason #1

If you follow me on Instagram or Twitter, then you know that I found my first Evelyn Ackerman wood panel made by Panelcraft! This has been on my wish list for ever! Sadly the previous owner attacked the panel with a paint brush! Nothing that cannot be remedied. I have already started the restoration process. The bird in the picture has been stripped from most of the paint. I will share pictures of the finish product soon (I hope).

Reason #2

A very large and highly collectable Metlox Tropicana platter. Such a great find! I am bragging a bit, but just wait…

Reason #3

Yes it is! A beautiful Cathrineholm plate in the difficult to find white on black combo. I have seen very few examples like this on line!

Reason #4

A Malcolm Leland Martian Bank! I would be lying if I said that I knew what this was when I found it. I just knew it had to be something! Thanks to my twitter friends Jessyca and Marcy that encouraged me to buy it and identified it! I have the most amazing twitter pals! This sweet piece has sold and it is going to another of my twitter friend's homes. Good bye little one!

Other reasons

Six iittala Kartio glasses designed by Kaj Frank. Lovely green color.

Arabia of Finland fish trivet. My first!

Incredible brass candle holder / Vase. Small holes along the side of the candle holder for flower display. So beautiful!

A very colorful San Marino pottery tray. Lots of fish this week!!!

Do not forget to check the Taste Setters Seeing Double sale, Sunday at 6:00 PM PST! It is going to be a great one!

Sharing this week with A Living SpaceRemnantWe Call it Junkin and Sir Thrift a Lot.

  10. Jealousy is not very pretty on me, but dang - I can't help it! You totally killed it this week! That Cathrineholm alone would have made your coming out of your thrift hiatus worth while, but look at everything else. Good for you!
