Thrift Finds: A first one for me

Hello friends of the vintage find,

I am happy to report that I have found my first C. Jere wall sculpture! and I like it! Many of his designs are not that appealing to me, but this one is really nice. I like the lone butterfly hiding amongst the golden leaves. This thing is large! It measures about 58" long. I have to either sell it fast or hang it on a wall for good :)

That was the extent of my thrift finds for the week, that is until Friday afternoon when I found myself near a little consignment store that I visit sporadically. These smalls came home with me:

A C. Alan Johnson Inuit Figurine. This little one is called Silook and it reminds me a little of Lisa Larson's Children of the World figurines. This cutie is already listed in the store.

My first Royal Copenhagen Aluminia mug! I didn't know these were so large! This one was designed by Anne Marie Trolle and it has a sterling silver round disk on the bottom where it was inscribed.

A couple of mod Takahashi ashtrays. Breaking my no ashtray rule once again. But these are just too good to pass up. Listed here and here.

If you are interested in any of my finds, do not hesitate to contact me with your questions. I offer discounted prices to my blog readers!

  1. We found a tiny RC annual mug and I was surprised how small it was!

    1. Now I know that they came in different sizes!

  2. Oh nice, I like that C Jere too! Maybe you should keep it ;) I thought that Inuit figurine was LL as well on first glance!

  3. That Jere is huge! Is it signed? What year?

  4. That sculpture is massive! How will you ever ship something that large?

    1. Somebody advice about using a bike box :)
