Thrift Finds: Not much but worth it

 Hello lovers of vintage,

I am still very busy with family in town and getting ready for our vacation in July. The world cup is still taking a big chunk of my time (Colombia is doing really well!!!) and life is good. Etsy has been really slow lately, with little activity on my end (no time to list) and even less activity on the customer's end... oh well... It makes it easier to close the store to go on vacation.

As I mentioned on my last post, Mid Mod Mom is selling at Chairish and they were kind enough to invite me to Dwell on Design. I am going today, and I will take lots of pictures to share with you. Stay tuned.

I have a few finds to share with you this week. I have not been to an estate sale in ages, and the thrift stores are bare. Today I went to a flea market nearby and was able to score some goodies. Let's take a look:

A beautiful Herman Kahler plate which I am proud to have identified just by looking at it. The mark was covered with felt. A great find!

A pair of curly brass candle holders. There are no marks that I can see. They remind me of some of the work produced by Lars Holmstrom. I need to research some more.

Look at these old creatures. A pair of Italian marble bookends. They are in fair vintage condition with lots of chips to the edges of the stone. I find them more charming because of it!

Sweet trivet by Buchan of Scotland. I have seen other pieces of this pattern before and it always reminds me of Scandinavian design. Don't you agree?

And another Etruscan horse sculpture. This one is extra large. I like these a lot, I think they were made as tourist souvenirs and there is no design attribution behind them. They are beautiful nonetheless.

What do you think of my finds this week? What did you find? Share with us at A Living SpaceSir Thrift a Lot and Thrifter Maker Fixer Farm.

If you would like more information on any of my finds you can always contact me. I give discounted prices to my blog readers.

  4. Wow! Chairish is really cool, very professional looking! Kinda slow here too but it's my fault. You don't list, they don't come, right. Love your finds as usual, always make me sigh!
